Leading Change to Improve Quality and Patient Safety

Tufts Quality and Patient Safety
Change Agent Awards

At the two-day course, Leading Change to Improve Quality and Patient Safety: A Practical Workshop for Clinicians and Educators, November 2011, attendees participated in a series of workshops focused on enhancing patient safety, reducing the risk of medical error, and improving healthcare quality in the clinical setting. Participants also reviewed and discussed methods for teaching these skills to professionals-in-training.

Following the workshop we continued to engage attendees through an online community of learning. A few months after the conference, we asked attendees about their change initiatives in practice or training. Several attendees shared accounts of valuable activities to integrate what they learned into their practices or training programs. Respondents who made especially significant progress were selected to receive the Tufts Quality and Patient Safety Change Agent Awards.
